getAbstract - INTERNATIONAL BOOK AWARD 2021

El conocimiento mueve al mundo. Sin importar el ámbito en el que nos desenvolvamos, todos somos testigos de cuán vertiginosamente puede cambiar una realidad con conocimiento de por medio. Sin embargo, producir conocimientos serios y de un valor práctico tangible no es tarea fácil. Seleccionar lo mejor de ese conocimiento, mucho menos. Esto es lo que más me sorprende del trabajo que realiza el departamento editorial de getAbstract, la capacidad de enfrentarse a una producción anual de más de diez mil libros sobre desarrollo profesional y personal y obtener de ellos la información más relevante y necesaria posible para las empresas y sus colaboradores.

getAbstract ha ido más allá. Este año celebrará la versión número 21 de su reconocido International Book Award, un evento que premia la creatividad de los autores y su valiosa contribución al crecimiento y fortalecimiento del aprendizaje corporativo. El mundo de los negocios es un ámbito relativamente nuevo para mí, pero ser parte de getAbstract me ha hecho descubrir cuán diverso y dinámico es. Aprender no tiene fecha de caducidad.

No dejen de leer aquí la lista de los nominados, tanto de los libros en inglés como en alemán. Y como soñar no está prohibido, quizá un día el International Book Award de getAbstract pueda premiar también a la producción editorial de temática corporativa en español.

Wissen bewegt die Welt. Unabhängig von dem Bereich, in dem wir tätig sind, sind wir alle Zeugen davon, wie schwindelerregend schnell sich eine Realität durch Wissen verändern kann. Es ist jedoch keine leichte Aufgabe, ernsthaftes Wissen von greifbarem praktischen Wert zu schaffen. Die Auswahl der besten dieser Kenntnisse ist nicht einfacher. Das ist es, was mich an der Arbeit der getAbstract-Redaktion am meisten überrascht: die Fähigkeit, mit einer Jahresproduktion von mehr als 10.000 Büchern zur beruflichen und persönlichen Entwicklung umzugehen und die relevantesten und notwendigsten Informationen für Unternehmen und ihre Mitarbeiter zu erhalten.

getAbstract ist noch einen Schritt weiter gegangen. In diesem Jahr wird der renommierte International Book Award zum 21. Mal verliehen, eine Veranstaltung, die die Kreativität von Autoren und ihren wertvollen Beitrag zum Wachstum und zur Stärkung des Lernens in Unternehmen belohnt. Die Geschäftswelt ist ein relativ neues Feld für mich, aber durch die Mitarbeit bei getAbstract habe ich entdeckt, wie vielfältig und dynamisch dieses Feld ist. Lernen hat kein Verfallsdatum.

Lesen Sie hier die Liste der Nominierten, sowohl für englische als auch für deutsche Bücher. Und da Träumen nicht verboten ist, kann der International Book Award von getAbstract vielleicht eines Tages auch Businessbücher auf Spanisch auszeichnen.

Knowledge moves the world. Regardless of the field in which we operate, we are all witnesses to how dizzyingly fast a reality can change with knowledge. However, producing serious knowledge of tangible practical value is no easy task. Selecting the best of that knowledge, much less so. This is what surprises me most about the work done by getAbstract's editorial department: the ability to deal with an annual production of more than 10,000 books on professional and personal development and to obtain the most relevant and necessary information possible for companies and their collaborators.

getAbstract has gone one step further. This year, it will celebrate the 21st version of its renowned International Book Award, an event that rewards authors' creativity and their valuable contribution to the growth and strengthening of corporate learning. The business world is a relatively new field for me, but being part of getAbstract has made me discover how diverse and dynamic the field is. Learning has no expiration date.

Be sure to read the list of nominees here, for both English and German books. And since dreaming is not forbidden, maybe one day getAbstract's International Book Award can also reward corporate-themed publishing in Spanish.
